Registered Home Manager - Learning Disabilities & Autism

£40,000 per annum

Here at Norwood, we are looking for a Registered Home Manager to join our team at Eretz Residential home within Ravenswood Village. 

This position is responsible for the running of the residential care home for Adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism and other needs.  To manage the service in line with Norwood’s Vision, Mission and Values whilst ensuring compliance with the Essential Standards for Quality and Safety, as defined in the Health and Social Care Act (2008).

The purpose of this role is to create positive relationships with everyone involved in providing support to the individuals within our residential homes and ensure a high quality of service and people centred care is provided. 

Key responsibilities of the Registered Home Manager include:

  • Maintain a high-quality service working in partnership with colleagues and stakeholders to manage and support all services
  • To create and develop positive relationships with families and other professionals
  • Review budgets, staff rotas, complaints and relationship building with external regulatory bodies
  • Provide support, supervision, development and mentoring to all staff including appraisal and supervision
  • To contribute to the development of new policies and practices within the Home and to maintain systems Work within and maintain the quality management system for the organisation and to adhere to the CQC standards and regulations
  • Cover on-call duties on a rota in conjunction with the Deputy Manager

Experience and Skills required:

  • Registration as Registered Person under the Health and Social Care Act (2008) is an essential requirement of this role.
  • Achieved NVQ Level 4 Health & Social care, and be working towards level 5 or be willing to undertake this qualification.
  • Previous experience working in a residential/supported living setting including supervisory responsibilities, supporting Adults with Learning Disabilities
  • Willingness to undertake the Skills for Care Induction
