About Norwood:

Founded in 1795, Norwood is the oldest Jewish charity in the UK, and has been privileged to receive Royal Patronage since 1815. We support and empower neurodiverse children and their families and people with neurodevelopmental disabilities to live their best lives.

Norwood works with local authorities, to deliver wide-ranging services including residential and supported living accommodation and short-breaks facilities, as well as a range of support groups aimed at the whole family, not just the individual.

About Orchard:

Orchard is a large two-storey house. The house has six bedrooms over two floors with an additional two flats within the building, providing accommodation for 9 residents. Their ages range from twenties to seventies. They have moderate to severe learning disabilities, autism and some have additional needs including epilepsy and mental health. The people we support enjoy being physically active, including walking, swimming and riding bikes.

The support we provide at Orchard is 24 hours a day to ensure that the safety and needs of the people we support are met. The wishes, plans and activities of the people we support are central to how the rota is planned. We are expected to make reasonable adjustments to support people to live the life they choose with social and leisure opportunities.
